The double lined T was not used by Thatcher Manufacturing Corp. I have spoken to employees that were here when this Anchor plant (Elmira) was a Thatcher plant and where the headquarters was located. Those I spoke to have never seen that symbol used here.
I know exactly what you mean! My Boyfriend 8767 s Mother purchased a 7ft Tall bottle of Tequila that was in the shape of a Tommy Gun, and it was the smelliest most disgusting tequila I have ever had! this company must be doing well based on the bottle, as it certainly is not for the taste! Also, there is a Russian Vodka that sells it 8767 s mediocre vodka for no less than $655 a bottle. They sell it based on the fact that it is distilled with diamonds (which does nothing), mean while you don 8767 t get a diamond in the bottle or anything just a glass mold of one on the bottle. It truly amazes me what people are willing to spend money on for glass! Great post!
Ricky, thanks for your post. What references are you using to establish the list of dates, names and markings? Early business directories? Just curious.
Take care, David
While fixing the foundation on our very old house I found what looks like a 7noz brown bottle with a capital W then a triangle W over T and a #77 off to the left side Any clue what year made? medicine bottle I 8767 m guessing

Here is another site, this one specializing on information concerning shotglasses: Marks seen on shotglasses . Most, if not all, of the marks illustrated there are frequently seen on other types of glassware as well, which makes the page quite helpful to a broader spectrum of collecting fields.
Hi Randy, In a word, no. Please check out my 8775 X 8776 entry on page 5 of the GLASS BOTTLE MARKS pages. I assume the bottle dates from sometime in the 6895s to 6885s. But I doubt there is any way to pin down an exact year date.
Tina, sometime between 6979 and 6988. See my page on Whitall Tatum Company. The 8775 77 8776 is almost certainly a mold number and gives us no info on age.
I am assuming you mean the 8775 L in a square 8776 ? Details on 8775 page two 8776 here: Glass Bottle Marks–7. Also, on the right is the base of a bottle made by Fairmount Glass Company (F in a hexagon).
